Q. Who can use this service? Do I have to be a member of the Pricing Society
first?
A. Yes, in order to use this valued service, we have made it available ONLY for individual or Corporate Members of PPS. Members can either post a job if you are an employer/recruiter, or submit your résumé if you are a job seeker.
Q. What does it cost?
A. Membership to PPS starts as low as $95 for 60 days. Full Membership to PPS for 1 year is $400 for individuals and we have multiple bundles for corporations and multi-year memberships. There is lots of growth in pricing these days and we want to give our members a new competitive advantage.
By establishing a one stop center, both those who are seeking the best pricing professionals available, and those pricers who wish to enhance their career opportunities can find each other much more easily.
Q. What types of jobs can I post? What types of résumés are suitable?
A. Because we are a pricing organization, we look for pricing jobs and jobs in related fields, such as marketing and sales where pricing is a significant component of the job.
For job seekers, you should only submit a résumé if you are seeking a career
or a job in pricing or related fields.
Q. I understand that this Jobs/Résumé Resource Center is fully featured.
What does that mean?
A. For employers, it means you can create candidate agents to automatically notify you of résumés matching your pre-selected search criteria. You also can save candidate résumés of interest and respond directly to the candidate.
For job seekers, it means you can safely post your resume as either public
or private; private means no name, company or contact info is shown, unless
you put in the body of your résumé descriptions. Like employers, you can
create job search agents to automatically notify you of jobs matching your
pre-selected job search criteria.
Q. What countries are applicable to this PPS Jobs/Résumé Resource Center?
A. All countries; PPS is an International Association and the job and résumé service allows you to specify the location of your job.
Q. I am a HR Recruiter with a special situation. May I contact PPS directly
by phone and explain my situation and get candidate recommendations?
A. HR and recruiting is not our core competency. Pricing is.
For that reason we set up this self service Resource Center to run by
itself.
PPS does not give candidate recommendations nor entertain calls from firms
about the job they are seeking to fill. Similarly we don't give job seekers,
any résumé building advice.
We do recommend that you post your jobs and your résumés as these pages are
by far the most frequently visited pages on our highly active web site.
The PPS site is the one place where anyone seeking a candidate or a career
in pricing is likely to find a match.
Q. If my firm finds someone directly thru the PPS Resource Center. What
recruiting fees do I have to pay?
A. There are no hiring fees involved with your search. You do have to hold a PPS Membership in order to post jobs; that’s all it costs. As a courtesy we ask that you let us know when you are successful with your search.
